Happy Yom Kippur! (This blog has absolutely nothing to do with Yom Kippur.)

AMENDMENT TO MY FIRST BLOG: MY GRANDMOTHER did, in fact, know what a blog was. My apologies, Bam.

Housekeeping done. Moving right along…

It’s Friday! YAY! Actually, I believe the correct term is, “WorkSucksWeekendWoo-hoo!” Thank you, Timmay.

So, what is everyone doing this weekend? I have plans this evening to go to a new (or at least new-to-me) tapas and wine bar that my Maven friend, Michelle, informed me about. She was reading reviews of places online and found Bite, which is in Hillcrest.

Tomorrow, a whole gaggle of people are hiking Torrey Pines. Hey! San Diegans: Any takers? C’mon! It’ll be fun. Or something. Afterwards – and please, try to contain your excitement – we’re watching Washington State play USC! YAY! No, really, who’s joining in? Please…

Sunday will undoubtedly be filled with more football. And that’s all I have to say about that.

I AM GOING TO SEATTLE in approximately twenty days, yahoo! I’m way-super-duper excited to visit The Emerald City (my favorite color is green.)

Thinking of Seattle makes me wonder: When is “Grey’s Anatomy” starting back up? I don’t even watch TV anymore; I don’t know why I care. It is a good show, though. Or at least it was, back when Izzy and Denny had their thing going on…Before he DIED. ABC, you suck!

OMG…TV…Emmy’s…Sally Field is on crack! Did anyone watch it? I missed it, but heard aaaallll about it the next day. “Sybil,” anyone?

Can work please be over so I can go get a manicure and an eight-toed pedicure? How will I explain to the sweet Vietnamese ladies to just disregard those toes? They’ll think I’m a freak, I’m sure. I’M HIDEOUS! LOOK AWAY!

The 20th or the 21st?

Yes, I know today is the 20th, however, I wonder if today or tomorrow is the first day of fall. I’ll look it up…

Ah, it’s neither. The Autumnal Equinox beings on September 22nd. Not that any of that really matters for me, as I live in San Diego. But still, fall is my favorite season, so it’s nice to know when it begins. For the rest of the country, that is.

Aww, crap. Now I’ve found a website that says it begins on September 23rd. Whatever, this whole thing has turned to crap. Sometime between September 22nd and 23rd, fall will officially begin.

Moving right along…

Ooh, I just found out I’m going to a Padres game at 12:30 PM for work. I gotta go…

Marathons, Movies, and a Hooooot Pickle!

Two blogs in one day?! I bet my [three] readers are so excited! Sidenote: I noticed that I wrote my other blog at 6:57 AM this morning! What’s wrong with me? I hope I’d had my coffee. I can’t even remember.

I’m running the Carlsbad Half Marathon on January 20th. Honestly, I have no clue why I signed up for it. At work [presumably bored] yesterday, I decided to run it and five minutes later, both myself and my main squeeze were signed up. And, because I love everyone SO MUCH, I got on the line and tried to recruit three friends and family members to do it, as well. Wait. Four. We’ll see if there are any takers; I will continue to bother them about it. Mom, that means you! So, yup, half marathon numero dos. I reckon by the time my toenails start to grow back, they’ll be ready to fall off again!

I want a hot pickle.

My fella is coming over to watch a movie later. I’ve got “Brick” or “Layer Cake.” Suggestions, anyone? Oooh, I need to link Cousin Ron to this blog; he’s my movie aficionado. Either way, it’s Joseph Gordon-Levitt versus Daniel Craig – I think we know who I’m choosing.

G’night loves!

I’m a bad blogger.

I haven’t posted since last Wednesday, wha?! Forgive me, for I am a bad blogger. Oh, well, I’m making it up to you now, right? Right.

Currently [re]watching The Italian Job.” The 2003 version, just to clarify. I didn’t even know there was another version until I IMDB’d it to put that link in. Check it out – it’s got Michael Caine in it! I heart Michael Caine. “BRING IN THE FAH-SHAH!” Anyone, anyone? I wonder if the 1969 Michael Caine version of “The Italian Job” is any good. I shall NetFlix it.

I should mention here that the electricity in my apartment is shorting out, so I’m not even really watching this movie. Fantastic. WHOA! The movie is back on and they just made a truck fall through the middle of the street! HEY-OH! I apologize if I ruined that part for you, but for God’s sake, it was made in 2003, you should have seen it already.

I’m bored with you, blog. Sorry. There will be more later, though, I’m sure.

Fish Tacos!

Woo-hoo! It’s my first blog posting! I’d like to welcome everyone out there on the “intraweb” to this – my long, pointless stream of thought. As my BFF Michelle knows, I’ve been wanting to blog for quite sometime and now I’m finally doing it! My grandmother will probably be happy – she recently learned what a blog was 😀

So, fish tacos, you ask? Yes, fish tacos. In approximately 48 minutes, I will be dining on what are sure to be some DELICIOUS fish tacos. I can thank my friend Jen for introducing me to the place (Blue Water Grill on India Street in Mission Hills – if you’re a San Diegoan. San Diegion. San Diegan.) Or wait, maybe it was Michelle who introduced me to it. Regardless, they are delicious and I am excited!

In other news, I watched “A History of Violence” last night. It might have been the first time in a long time that I’ve actually stayed awake through an entire movie. I enjoy falling asleep in movies and then re-watching them later. This annoys a certain person I watch most of my movies with. But I digress. I enjoyed the movie, however, I felt it was a little too short. There wasn’t enough “history” for all the “violence.” Ya catch my drift?

Oooh, drift. Driftwood. Ocean. Fish tacos.

See? There’s that long, pointless stream of thought I warned you about!

Here’s the part of my blog where I sign off. Did I mention I have a short attention span? This may be why I fall asleep in most movies. Meh.

Till next time – FISH TACOS!!!
