Oregon is for mothers

We went to the Oregon coast over Mother’s Day weekend for a little family vacation with my in-laws.

LG wanted to get vacation started right away…

…In the airport parking lot.

Once we arrived, we were greeting with just awful, awful views.

It’s really a shame Oregon is so ugly.

Hideous, look away.

I tried to get a nice mother-daughter photo on Mother’s Day, you know, to commemorate the occasion:

Yeah, pretty much.
Yeaaaaaah. Sounds about right.

A variety of meats and carbs for Mother’s Day brunch. Also mimosas.

Chris and I were able to go exploring by ourselves one morning, which was quite delightful, as are all times when you can leave your child in the loving care of their grandparents to go frolicking on a beach explore caves OMG WHAT WAS THAT SOUND AHHHH GET OUT!

Pre-spelunking.

See? Fugly.

Mussels anyone?

Random beach waterfall because why not?

And as if the views weren’t bad enough, the food was pretty awful, as well:

(I think it goes without saying I have the best in-laws around.)

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the moms and grandmoms and stepmoms and in-law moms and godmoms and animal moms and moms-to-be and do we really have to be PC about moms now? Geez.

Haaaa! I totally laughed at your PC comment. I’m pretty sure we have to be PC about everything now.

I really need a trip to the Oregon Coast. I absolutely love it there. Aren’t random beach waterfalls the coolest?

  2. Holy crap, those views. LOOK AWAY, INDEED.
